We have been in contact with our adoption agency, and we officially put the adoption on hold last month. They were waiting for some updated information from us, and we had to sign an official letter to them stating we were pregnant. As always, the yard sale was a success! Thank you to everyone who donated to the cause. Your continued support is much appreciated. It was also great to have my sister Jenni and my mom here for this yard sale. Jenni could sell someone their own shirt. We plan on having the biggest sale we can have next May, so please let me know if you can donate something. So where does this leave us? Once the baby is born and Theresa is cleared to fly, we will work on getting the Bean a passport, and then reactivate the adoption. They had told us we will not need to update much, since our paperwork was already in country. Hopefully, next summer we will be in Colombia with the next two additions to the family.
As for the baby, there are a few things to report. We are at 35-36 weeks along depending on who you ask. Our little Bean is just squirming around in there and kicking Theresa’s lungs and kidneys. She is scheduled to get her cerclage out on July 31. Our doctor (who we have mentioned before) has decided that he wants to induce labor somewhere around two weeks before the due date. Don’t worry we are ready for the Bean. The room is ready, furniture is built, and thanks to everyone who came to the shower, we have just about everything we need. I will do my best to keep everyone up to date about the delivery; I know there are more than a few who are excited. To the left is the most recent picture of the Bean, in 3D.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped around here or ran me around while I was recovering from my leg injury, especially our moms Judi Cerrato and Bev Sanders. Also, Mikey and Dominic Cerrato for cutting my grass and Christina and Catie for helping keep the house clean. Also, a big thanks goes out to Bob and Peggy Deller (your names keep popping up in these blogs) for letting me borrow their tractor for the summer, it was a big help to the boys who cut my grass.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and God Bless,
-John
